Isaiah 65:1-8 “For ALL Peoples” Despite our repeated practice, we are not called to be gatekeepers for the Kingdom of God; rather we are called to make disciples of ALL nations, right? God declares through Isaiah that his house will be a house of prayer for ALL people. Yes, even foreigners (those not God’s people “by birth”). Yes, even eunuchs (those who are sexually/biologically “outside the norm”). God promises hope and acceptance and blessings to even them. And this is fulfilled when Philip is sent into the wilderness where he meets (and baptizes) the Ethiopian eunuch (Acts 8:26-39). God’s grace reaches farther than we think and he gathers more into his kingdom than we expect (or are even comfortable with).
